To go along with our article on The Difference between a Gimbal and a Glidecam, I wanted to do a video on how to balance a GlideCam for best results. There are a ton of videos on how to balance a glidecam, and I have found that a good number of them are from people with very little experience using one. The technique I use I learned from an actual Steadicam instructor and it has always worked great for me.
